In the above image, you can see a list of suggested time slots with a + sign. Click on these and then use the Add time slot button to insert that slot for a particular day. These suggestions are also shown by analyzing your Pinterest data, so they are optimized for your account.

Secondly, you can manually select the hour, minute, and AM/PM from the Custom time slot drop-down. You can then use the Add time slot button to insert a new time slot.

If there are unwanted time slots, you can delete them.

You can schedule pins to newly added or empty slots/gaps in three ways.

Firstly, when you schedule a new pin, Tailwind automatically fills the next available empty time slot in your posting schedule.

Therefore, if you want a particular pin to be published at a specified time, you must lock that pin. You can lock or unlock it by hovering your mouse over the pin in the posting schedule. When you hover over the image, you will see a lock icon in the top-right corner.

The exciting thing about locking pins is that you can manually drag and drop a locked pin wherever you want in the queue. However, shuffling and interval-setting actions will not move them.

Why do you need to shuffle pins, and how do you do it?

Shuffling will swap unlocked posts with other unlocked posts in your queue. It leaves open time slots and locked posts intact and untouched. Locked pins scheduled through the SmartLoop will also not be affected.

To shuffle pins, go to the top-right corner of the Pin Scheduler, where you can spot the Shuffle icon. But before you use this feature, make sure you lock the pins that you want to keep fixed in their current time slots. If you want to shuffle pins that are already locked, you first need to unlock them.

Pro Tip: When you schedule pins using intervals (like daily or weekly), they are automatically locked to keep them on that schedule.

How can you add pins to the Tailwind Queue?

Well, adding and scheduling pins with Tailwind is super easy. If you are quite familiar with Tailwind, you can add many pins in just a few minutes. But publishing 15–20 pins every day through Tailwind is no longer a good strategy. You should schedule a maximum of 5 pins every day to keep your pinning strategy healthy and spam-free.

Pro Tip: Pinterest's algorithm favors fresh pins that have completely new designs and text overlays. So, avoid posting the same image too often.

You can use Pin Spacing, which keeps the same pin from being published back-to-back, and Interval Scheduling to spread pins across many boards over several days.

If you have already prepared a SmartSchedule, you need to select images, choose appropriate boards, and add pins to the SmartSchedule.

Click on the New Post button on the left-side navigation bar and select Create SmartPin. You can also access this SmartPin tool (Generate a Pin with SmartPin) from the action bar at the top of the Pin Scheduler page.

This tool lets you create recurring pins with fresh designs and text overlays every week from the same URL that you provide.

3. Design Pins

Click on the New Post button and select Design Pins. This will take you to another tool, Tailwind Create, which can create amazing pins in seconds. You just need to provide an image and URL.
